Water Activities

There are plenty of activities to be had in the waters around Killarney and the wider Kerry region. These include Kayaking, peddle boats, surfing and many more.

Kayaking

What’s better than a guided tour of the lakes of Killarney…… A self guided kayaking tour of the lakes. Row around the beautiful lakes of Killarney at your own pace taking in all the breath taking scenery including the copper mines at Ross Castle and the famed Inisfallen Island. This quiet and unobtrusive mode of transport is the ideal way to observe wildlife and view the natural environment.

Peddle Boats

For those willing to make the short drive up to Tralee make sure to stop by the wetlands and check out Pedalo Boats. This a great activity for a group of friends or family to partake in. Take your time cruising around the wetlands or for those looking for a bit of competition you can race your friends around the island!

Star Sailing Kenmare

Located in the scenic town of Kenmare, Star sailing is a great outdoors activity centre with a wide range of water activities to do including a water park on Kenmare Bay, kayaking and a cruise ship trip. This is a highly recommended day out for any families with kids.

Surfing

Head out to either Inch beach or Banna beach for a day learning how to surf from some of Kerry’s Top surf instructors.  Surf on the magical waters of the Atlantic ocean on one of these Blue Flag certified beaches.
