Me and My Girl – 23rd March 2017

Killarney Musical Society presents Me & My Girl in the INEC Killarney on 22nd, 23rd and 24th March 2017.

This year marks the 32nd year in production for Killarney Musical Society and we are proud to be presenting Me & My girl as this years show.  The original book and Lyrics were written by L. Arthur Rose and Douglas Furber and music composed by Noel Gay.  This promises to be a very entertaining musical with familiar songs such as Lambeth Walk, The Sun has got his hat on and of course Me & My Girl.   Originally produced at the Adelphi Theatre London by Richard Armitage and subsequently produced at the Marquis Theatre, New York City.  The musical is set in the late 1930’s and tells the story of an unapologetically unrefined cockney gentleman named Bill Snibson who learns that he is the 14th heir to the Earl of Herford.  The action is set in Hampshire, Mayfair and Lambeth.  The show is directed by Killian Collins who also directed last year’s production of Calamity Jane and the Choreographer is Stephen Cullinan O’Regan who has also performed in Me & My Girl on London’s West End.  The Musical Director is the award winning director John O’Brien who will conduct an Orchestra of 11.   We are delighted to announce that our main sponsor for this year’s show is Irish Independent Wholefoods.
