Fairy Trail at The Brehon
Fairy Folk Check-In to The Brehon, Killarney
Some very unusual VIP guests have just checked into The Brehon, Killarney, but rather than staying in one of the hotel’s luxurious suites they have opted instead to sleep among the flowers and trees of the beautiful Brehon lawn.
Delia, Daniel, Honey, Violet, Vinney, Peader, Iver, Lily, Shimmer and Sticks along with sisters Marci, Mervel, Moonbeam and Missy have become the newest and tiniest residents of the hotel. The fourteen fairies were officially welcomed at a special party held in their honour at The Brehon yesterday afternoon (Sunday, August 16).
Members of staff at the hotel were initially nervous about welcoming the VIPs, but they have since been assured that there will be no unusual requests, dietary requirements or mischievous magic, these guests will however be staying indefinitely.
“Kate, Queen of The Fairies, decided a little while ago that she would like to bring some fairy magic to the garden of a hotel, she choose The Brehon because of all the wonderful people that stay there from all around the world,” explains Niamh Sherwin-Barry, Director at The Irish Fairy Door Company. “So for the past few months we have been busy crafting special fairy doors and building a fairy village at The Brehon so that fourteen fairies could move permanently to Killarney.”
The Irish Fairy Door Company is an Irish based company that specially chosen by The National Fairy Council to make these wooden fairy doors to help fairies relocate all over the world.
“We are delighted to welcome our fourteen resident fairies to The Brehon,” says General Manager, Brian Bowler, “We hope they will be very happy here and that they tell all their fairy friends to come and holiday in Killarney.”
